The McIntosh MPC1500, one of the best isolation transformers in the industry, is a model widely used both at Son Ultime and with our customers who use McIntosh Quad-Balanced amplifiers. You can also see a large number of MPC1500s in our installation albums.

On the other hand, for our customers who use the integrated MA252, MA5300, MA8900 and MA9000 as well as the Sources, DAC, etc., the high price of the MPC1500 sometimes forced us to look at other solutions offered on the market which were not always at the height of McIntosh electronics.

The MPC500 is the answer expected by Son Ultime because it is in fact a simplified version of the MPC1500 and at less than half the price!

Although a High Fidelity system has three main components: the source, the amplification and the speakers, many audiophiles forget certain very important variables, notably the power supply.

Indeed, a High Fidelity system, however efficient it may be, will never reach its full potential if it is not powered with quality current. Son Ultime therefore presents the MPC500 Current Conditioner designed and built entirely at McIntosh.

Isolation from the outside world:

The McIntosh MPC500 incorporates a Low-Pass Filter that generates a signal free of high-frequency noise found on residential power lines.

Ultimate Protection:

Ultimate electrical protection using TPMOV (Thermally Protected Metal-Oxide Varistors) which are significantly superior to traditional MOVs. The McIntosh MPC500 offers you one of the best protections available on the market!
