***Several of you have certainly already consulted my presentation on the Eclipse Three from Tannoy. If this is not the case, I invite you to take a look at it since the Mercury 7.4 shares many points in common with this one.

The Mercury 7.4 is for me an improved version of the Eclipse Three in every way. Although the latter is, in my opinion, near perfection for its price range, Tannoy wanted to design a speaker in the same category with certain superior capabilities.

For example, the variety of musical style depends on individual tastes. In my case, my styles range from Opera for listening that gives me chills to Heavy-Metal for listening that literally develops adrenaline during intense musical passages. To achieve this, you need a speaker that can achieve both finesse and even more advanced dynamics than the Eclipse Three.***
