For digital music processing, the Marantz SA-8005 player/DAC offers a state-of-the-art solution. In order to obtain the most stable "DC" current possible, the SA-8005 is equipped with an oversized toroidal transformer. Additionally, two stages of analog rectifications are used for discrete powering of the digital and analog sections! This technique makes it possible to eliminate any risk of electromagnetic induction between these two sections.

Using CS4398 conversion DACs, the SA-8005 is compatible with both PCM and DSD signals. In addition, high-level audiophiles, using "Master Audio" recording formats up to 24 Bit/192.8kHz, can use the SA-8005 as an external converter.
