Delivering up to 140 Watts per Channel, the PM-14S1 has been engineered from an extremely Powerful and Robust Power Supply section. Offering very wide impedance stability, the PM-14S1 is able to respond to loudspeakers of any size and type. A toroidal voltage transformer fully woven with OFC copper is used as the first stage in the circuit. In addition, an OFC copper casing is also used as an electromagnetic "screen", thus eliminating the risk of electromagnetic induction! Mounted on a chassis of high robustness and density, it ensures solidity to the components of the complete circuit, thus eliminating the effects of microphony.

The front of the PM-14S1 has a maximum of controls that are both very complete and refined. Incorporating the same main elements of other Marantz integrated systems, additions such as MM input selection for vinyl, Preamp selection and Power Amp selection are also featured. In addition, on the back of the PM-14S1, Audiophile grade RCA connectors are present.

Designed entirely on the Reference series, one of Marantz's most renowned technologies is omnipresent in the circuit of the PM-14S1. HDAM modules provide remarkable dynamics and energy efficiency to meet the demands of modern music and film recording formats. Nothing less than 24 third-generation HDAM controllers are used at the very heart of its amplification stage.

To be able to meet the demand for the best Audiophile Headphones and a very wide variety, the Marantz PM-14S1 incorporates a fully dedicated headphone amplifier. This offers remarkable sound quality and stability allowing the use of any earphone.

Marantz being very associated with vinyl technologies, the PM-14S1 knows how to meet the demand of Audiophiles. A High-Performance MM (Moving Magnet) Phono Preamplification section has been integrated. In addition, an entirely discrete “Current Feedback” section has been dedicated to it in order to reproduce the RIAA standard curvature to near perfection!
