The Montreal Audio Fest 2025, held on March 28, 29, and 30 at the Hotel Bonaventure, once again proved to be a landmark event for the audiophile community in Quebec.

For Son Ultime, this event represents far more than a simple demonstration. It is an opportunity to bring our vision of high-fidelity to life—to design systems that are cohesive, refined, and deeply musical and, above all, to share that experience with you.

In room Outremont 7, a signature space for Son Ultime year after year, we curated an exceptional system, carefully engineered in every detail. Each component was selected, positioned, and optimized according to our rigorous approach to sound reproduction.

At the heart of the system, the digital front end built around the HiFi Rose RS130 and HiFi Rose RD160 highlighted the importance Son Ultime places on signal integrity from the very source delivering precision, fluidity, and faithful musical expression.

The entire system was fully cabled with Shunyata Research, including the Sigma X and Omega X series. This was a deliberate choice by Son Ultime to push the boundaries of transparency while maintaining absolute system coherence without compromise.

In the low-frequency range, a pair of REL No31 demonstrated the critical importance of properly integrated bass an essential element in Son Ultime’s philosophy to achieve a truly immersive and balanced listening experience.

Beyond the equipment, what defines Son Ultime is our approach: understand, refine, listen… and repeat until the system disappears, leaving only the music.
