Presentation TT15S1
As Analog recordings are increasingly used by Audiophiles, the Marantz TT15S1 is an uncompromising turntable that meets the demand. Designed to the Legendary Quality and Performance criteria of the Marantz Reference Series, this table has been repeatedly named one of the best in its class worldwide. Integrating an Asynchronous motor, a Motor/Chassis flow and a High-Quality arm, the Marantz TT15S1 is a must for vinyl lovers!
Asynchronous Motor and Mechanical Decoupling
In order to maintain a stable rotation speed of the turntable, the TT15S1 uses a so-called Asynchronous motor to maintain a fixed speed. This stability makes it possible to counter the "Brake" effect caused by the friction of the cartridge on the vinyl. In addition, the motor being physically detached from the chassis, no vibration coming from this motor can be transmitted to the reading head. This is a unique feature of the Marantz Reference.
High Rigidity One-Piece Aluminum Arms
Aluminum being a material par excellence in the world of High Fidelity, the TT15S1 incorporates a High Rigidity aluminum tonearm. This provides stability to the cartridge, thus ensuring the best possible reading.
Unique Magnetic "Anti-Skating" Technology
The vinyl industry standard for “Anti-Skating” is the use of a counterweight hanging in a vacuum. In the case of the TT15S1, Marantz wanted to develop a new technology. The weight has therefore given way to a magnetic system! Indeed, a magnet system that is both very simple and effective is used. Being adjusted by the rotation of a screw, there is therefore, unlike systems by weight, an infinite amount of possible adjustments!
High-Density Acrylic Chassis
Acrylic, being a completely Isotropic material, it offers a uniform density on its complete surface. This feature allows an impressive control of standing waves and resonances. Therefore, the chassis of the TT15S1 is built from a machined Acrylic block.
Massive Mechanical Supports in 3 Points
In mechanics, it is known that the best configuration to offer a relief adjustment is on 3 points. Therefore, the TT15S1 uses 3 "Legs" of solid aluminum allowing full stability and a minimal contact surface. In addition, being of a large mass, these aluminum blocks act as Anti-Vibration material.
